Apartments in Thailand are purchased for holidays, seasonal stays, rental income and portfolio diversification. This page explains typical prices, formats and legal conditions for foreign buyers.
The price depends on location, distance from the sea, construction stage, ownership structure and management company. Currency conversions are recalculated on the date of the shortlist.

A foreign buyer may purchase a condominium unit within the foreign ownership quota. Where the quota is unavailable or another structure is proposed, the leasehold and resale terms require careful review.
Clarify exactly what is being sold: a freehold condominium, a long-term leasehold right or another contractual structure.
Review the developer, permits, payment schedule, handover terms and mandatory charges.
Assess the location, rental demand, infrastructure, price per square metre and resale prospects.
The same budget can produce different outcomes: more space in Pattaya, stronger resort demand in Phuket or urban liquidity in Bangkok.
PattayaA seaside Pattaya apartment with a comparatively accessible entry price.
PhuketA Phuket apartment in a resort location with strong tenant demand.
BangkokAn urban option for long-term rental, living and resale.
“Buy an apartment in Thailand” can refer to a completed condominium, an off-plan unit or an apartment offered under a different contractual structure. Define the purpose first: a permanent home, seasonal base, family accommodation or a unit intended for rental. Then compare layout, natural light, noise, floor, actual route to daily services, common facilities and the rules of the development. The same floor area in Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok can produce a different lifestyle, level of management and cost profile.
For a specific condominium, request the project and unit documents, identify the ownership route being offered and confirm whether the stated foreign ownership quota is available for that unit. Where leasehold is proposed, review the parties, term, registration, transfer, renewal wording and termination provisions. A marketing label is not enough to make the decision. The contract, title and registration documents and payment schedule need to be considered together by an appropriate professional for the selected property.
A completed condo allows you to inspect the actual view, noise, neighbouring construction, common areas and day-to-day management. An off-plan purchase needs additional review of the developer and project documents, construction and payment milestones, specification, handover process and contractual treatment of delay. In both cases, build a total budget that includes the unit, contractual and registration payments, common-area charges, furnishing and a reserve for ownership. Current figures must come from the selected offer rather than an old listing.
Compare a small group of genuinely similar units within one or two locations. Use our guides to Pattaya property and Phuket property to narrow the area before reviewing individual condos.

We will send options with prices in THB, USD and RUB, foreign-buyer terms and a concise location comparison.
